Ms Branzsen and myself spent some time on the weekend writing report cards. The topic of toys from home came up and from today forward No home toys at school. They are causing problems and interfering with learning in the classroom. The students understand this and we had a conversation about it in class today. Pink shirt day tomorrow. We talked about how wearing pink represents being kind to everyone. We talked about what bullying means. It means being mean on purpose often. We talked about how learning to get along and friendship accidents are different from bullying. Puppet shows will be next week. Wednesday and Thursday 1:30 in our classroom. A note will be sent home tomorrow and you can buy a family ticket for $5. There will be a space for picking what day works best for you. The class is using the money to buy some more exciting books and we are using the process to budget and learn about money. We are looking for a couple class soccer balls. If anyone has one they are happy to donate we would happily take. Please keep a look out for an extra large seal to a lunch kit. We have one in the class but a student is missing theirs and the lunch kit does not work with out it.
